How and Where Do I Use a Public PGP Encryption Key?

My contact sent me a public PGP encryption key. How and where do I use it?

You would take the public key you’ve received from them and copy it into FlowCrypt Settings ⮕ Additional Settings ⮕ Contacts ⮕ Import public keys.

After that, use the Secure Compose option to send them a message.

If you’ve received the public key over email, FlowCrypt should automatically detect it and offer you to import it.

Also, most of the time, there is no need to do this at all. Simply input their email into the corresponding field in the Secure Compose window, and it may automatically discover their public key.
