| You’ve already installed FlowCrypt and created a new private key or imported the existing private key you had used previously. |
Follow the instructions in this guide to update your private key record on the FlowCrypt browser extension, assuming you have the file containing your updated private key.
If you’d like to extend your key’s expiration, search online for “how to extend PGP key expiration”. Steps may vary based on your operating system.
1. In the FlowCrypt settings, go to Additional settings and click on the email address of the key you want to update in the My keys section identified by its fingerprint.
2. Open the popup window displaying your key pair information and click update on the private key section.
3. Paste the ASCII armored private key, provide the passphrase, and click UPDATE PRIVATE KEY.
